He maintains close relationships with Directors, CEO's and senior industry executives. Prior to joining M.M. Dillon & Co. in 2010, Scott served as a Managing Director at Ducker Advisory. In 2009, he was elected to be a Director of Mark IV, a diversified supplier of transportation components with approximately $1.3 billion in revenues. Earlier, Mr. Merlis was the automobile industry equity analyst for Thomas Weisel Partners and headed their industrial growth group from 2003 through February 2007. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Merlis was a Managing Director and Research Analyst at Wasserstein Perella. During his tenure at Wasserstein Perella, he was promoted to industrial investment banker and was involved in a wide variety of advisory, restructuring and special committee assignments. From 1985 to 1995, he was the global auto analyst at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Merlis earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, and two master degrees from Columbia University in Business Administration (MBA) and Social Work (MSW). |
